Terms of service

ScopeStamp terms of service

These terms explain the rules for using ScopeStamp, paying for a plan, sending change-order approval links, and keeping the service safe for customers and clients.

Last updated: April 29, 2026.

Important product boundary

ScopeStamp is a documentation and approval workflow for change orders. It is not a law firm, accounting firm, tax adviser, escrow service, collection agency, or payment processor for your client invoices.

Templates, approval links, audit trails, and examples are operational tools only. Use your own contract language and consult qualified professionals when legal, tax, accounting, or dispute risk matters.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and ScopeStamp. By visiting the website, creating an account, using the product, starting checkout, sending an approval link, or using any related support workflow, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice.

If you use ScopeStamp for a company, agency, client business, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and that the term you includes both you and that organization.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
  • You must provide accurate account, checkout, and support information and keep it reasonably current.
  • You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping passwords, sessions, approval links, and admin credentials secure.
  • You may not share, resell, lease, or transfer your account in a way that bypasses plan limits or security controls.
  • ScopeStamp may require identity, billing, or account verification before making sensitive changes or processing refunds.

3. The ScopeStamp service

ScopeStamp helps users document extra client work, generate client-facing approval links, track approval status, store change-order records, and connect those records to external payment references. Product features may change as the service improves.

ScopeStamp does not guarantee that a change order will be legally enforceable, that a client will pay, that a dispute will be resolved in your favor, or that an approval button will meet every electronic-signature requirement in every jurisdiction or contract.

4. Your content and client data

You keep ownership of the change-order content, client details, project details, support messages, payment references, and other materials you submit to ScopeStamp. You give ScopeStamp permission to host, process, display, email, and otherwise use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, improve, and enforce the service.

  • You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to enter client information and send approval links.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, clarity, and completeness of change-order terms you send to clients.
  • Do not submit passwords, full card numbers, bank credentials, government IDs, protected health information, children's data, trade secrets you are not allowed to share, or other highly sensitive regulated data.
  • If a client asks ScopeStamp about a change order, ScopeStamp may direct the client back to the account owner unless the issue concerns security, privacy, abuse, or legal compliance.

5. Client approval links and email

ScopeStamp may send transactional email to clients or account owners when a user creates, sends, views, approves, declines, or updates a change order. You are responsible for making sure client contact details are correct and that sending the message is appropriate under your client relationship and applicable law.

Approval links may contain client-facing project, scope, value, timeline, payment-link, and status information. Treat approval links like sensitive business records and share them only with intended recipients.

6. Plans, checkout, and billing

Plan or paymentTerms
Free planThe free plan may include usage limits, feature limits, or launch-period limits shown in the product or on the pricing page.
Pro subscriptionThe Pro plan is a recurring monthly subscription unless the pricing page or checkout says otherwise. By starting a subscription, you authorize recurring charges until the subscription is canceled.
Launch LifetimeLaunch Lifetime is a one-time early-access purchase for the paid ScopeStamp features included with that launch offer while ScopeStamp materially continues offering the product, subject to these Terms, abuse controls, and major product changes.
Payment processorsScopeStamp checkout is processed by Stripe Hosted Checkout and may also support PayPal. Payment processors collect and process payment details under their own terms and privacy notices. ScopeStamp does not store full card numbers.
Client payment linksExternal payment links that you paste into change orders are outside ScopeStamp. You are responsible for your own client invoices, taxes, payment-provider account, chargebacks, disputes, and payment terms.
TaxesPrices may not include taxes unless checkout says otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or similar charges that apply to your purchases or client work.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You can request subscription cancellation, billing help, or refund review by emailing billing@scopestamp.com with the account email, receipt email, payment processor, and a short description of the issue.

  • Canceling a subscription stops future renewal charges after the current billing period unless checkout or the payment processor says otherwise.
  • First-time paid purchases can be reviewed for refund within 14 days if the product does not fit and the account has not been abusive, fraudulent, or unusually high-volume.
  • Renewal-charge refund requests should be sent within 7 days of the renewal date.
  • Refunds may be denied or limited for fraud, abuse, chargeback manipulation, policy violations, heavy use, completed service value, or payment-provider restrictions.
  • Nothing in this section limits non-waivable consumer rights or refund rights required by applicable law.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use ScopeStamp to:

  • Create deceptive, fraudulent, unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, abusive, or misleading billing records.
  • Send spam, unsolicited marketing, phishing, malware, deceptive links, or messages that violate email or communications law.
  • Impersonate someone, misrepresent authority, or create fake client approvals.
  • Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights.
  • Store or transmit highly sensitive regulated data that ScopeStamp is not designed to handle.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe, attack, bypass limits, interfere with security, or disrupt the service.
  • Use ScopeStamp in a way that exposes ScopeStamp, customers, payment processors, or infrastructure providers to legal, security, reputation, or compliance risk.

9. Third-party services

ScopeStamp relies on third-party services for hosting, database, email, analytics, monitoring, payments, domain, support, and related operations. Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy notices, availability limits, fees, and support processes. ScopeStamp is not responsible for third-party outages, declined payments, provider account restrictions, or external services you connect or link to from a change order.

10. Intellectual property and feedback

ScopeStamp and its software, design, brand, templates, examples, documentation, and underlying technology are owned by ScopeStamp or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service according to these Terms.

If you send ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or feedback, you allow ScopeStamp to use them without restriction or compensation, while you keep ownership of any rights you already have in your own submitted material.

11. Privacy and security

The Privacy Notice explains how ScopeStamp collects, uses, shares, and retains information. You are responsible for using the service in a way that respects client privacy and confidentiality obligations.

Security reports can be sent to security@scopestamp.com. Do not publicly disclose a vulnerability before ScopeStamp has a reasonable chance to review and address it.

12. Service changes, suspension, and termination

ScopeStamp may add, remove, pause, limit, or change features, plans, pricing, integrations, usage limits, or support processes. ScopeStamp may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these Terms, creates legal or security risk, causes payment problems, is inactive, or uses the service in a way that could harm ScopeStamp, users, clients, providers, or the public.

You may stop using ScopeStamp at any time. After termination, ScopeStamp may retain records as described in the Privacy Notice or as needed for legal, security, accounting, dispute, chargeback, backup, or enforcement reasons.

13. Disclaimers

ScopeStamp is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, ScopeStamp disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, legal enforceability, payment collection, revenue recovery, or dispute outcome.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ScopeStamp will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, client disputes, payment disputes, or substitute services. ScopeStamp's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid ScopeStamp in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ScopeStamp from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your content, client communications, external payment links, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or misuse of the service.

16. Disputes and governing law

Before filing a claim, each side agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally by emailing legal@scopestamp.com and giving the other side a reasonable chance to respond. Except where law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

17. Changes to these Terms

ScopeStamp may update these Terms as the product, providers, pricing, laws, or business practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change is material for active users, ScopeStamp may provide additional notice by email, in-product message, checkout notice, or another reasonable method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
